Ipamorelin is a selective agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) in the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. Ghrelin is a natural “hunger hormone” that also stimulates GH release.
By mimicking ghrelin’s action (without increasing appetite much), ipamorelin triggers GH secretion.
Practically speaking, Ipamorelin is fast-acting version of MK-677. It is often deployed strategically post workout.
